Along Britain's Energy Coast in Cumbria we are harnessing the power of the environment and a world-class skills base to become a major generator and centre of excellence in low carbon and renewable energy – helping to transform the local economy while at the same time supporting Britain's response to the pressing challenges of climate change and energy security.

A new programme of activity is being prepared utilising socio-economic funding from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and Nuclear Management Partners, the company responsible for managing the Sellafield site.
